Paper Submission Guidelines

We invite submissions of original and unpublished research results and experiences. All papers will be evaluated based on their originality, timeliness, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the symposium proceedings.

Submission of a plain-text abstract by the CANDAR abstract submission deadline is mandatory. This abstract will be used to assign appropriate reviewers. After submitting the abstract, authors must upload a PDF of their full paper for review by the CANDAR paper submission deadline via EasyChair. The submitted PDF can be updated at any time before the paper submission deadline.

To submit a paper, authors should log in to EasyChair and select the “New Submission” option. Then, choose the appropriate track and click “Continue” to proceed. If you do not already have an EasyChair account, please create one before starting the submission process.

AI-Generated Content Policy

CANDAR follows the IEEE Guidelines for Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Generated Text. Authors who use AI-generated content in their submitted articles, including but not limited to text, figures, images, and code, must disclose such use in the acknowledgments section. The AI system used must be identified, and the specific sections containing AI-generated content must be clearly indicated, together with a brief explanation of the extent of its use. The use of AI systems solely for editing and grammar enhancement is generally outside the scope of this policy. In such cases, disclosure is not required, although it is recommended.

Paper Format For Review

It is essential that authors carefully review the Paper Format For Review guidelines before submitting their papers. Any paper that does not meet the required paper format may be rejected without review.

Review as workshop papers

If a paper is rejected by the CANDAR main symposium, the authors have the option to have their paper reviewed as a workshop paper instead. To do so, when submitting their paper through EasyChair, they should check the box labeled Want to be reviewed as workshop paper if rejected. If selected, workshop organizers will review the paper. Note that it is not necessary to submit papers directly to the workshops, as rejected papers will be automatically redirected to the appropriate workshop organizers. Selecting this option will not affect the decision of accept/rejection for the CANDAR main symposium. If a paper submitted to the main symposium is accepted as a workshop paper, it must be revised to meet the workshop paper page limitation.

No Show Policy

It is mandatory for at least one author of each paper to register and present the work in person at the symposium venue. Remote presentations are not allowed. Papers not presented by the author(s) in person (commonly referred to as 'no-show papers') will be removed from the IEEE digital library, even if the speaker registration fee has been paid.
