(This page provides instruction for CANDAR main symposium. Please see Workshops for the details of workshop paper submission)
Papers reporting original and unpublished research results and experience are solicited. Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Submissions imply the willingness of at least one author to register, attend the conference, and present the paper. Authors should upload their manuscripts in the PDF.
Prospective authors are encouraged to submit the plain text of the abstract and the PDF of the paper through EasyChair. If you do not have an EasyChair account, you must create it first.
The plain text of the abstract must be submitted by CANDAR'14 abstract submission due. After that, the PDF of the paper must be submitted by CANDAR'14 paper submission due. Also, the authors can submit both the abstract and the paper at the same time CANDAR'14 abstract submission due. The reviewers of papers will be selected based on the submitted abstracts.
For paper submission, you need to login EasyChair as an author, choose new submission menu, select one of the four tracks, and then click Continue button. We accept two types of submissions: Long Papers (8-10 pages) and Regular Papers (5-7 pages). When the authors submit the abstracts but want to submit the papers later, they should select Abstract Only check box and submit the plain text of the abstract. Once the authors submit the abstract by the workshop abstract submission due, they can upload/update the paper anytime before the paper submission due.
We plan to review papers rejected by CANDAR main symposium as workshop papers. For this purpose, we use topics option of EasyChair to select the authors' preference. Such papers will be reviewed by workshop organizers and the notification will be sent by the workshop notification date.
For example, if authors of a paper submitted to the CANDAR main conference want to be considered as a workshop regular paper in case of rejection, they must select “Workshop Regular” as a topic. Authors can select following options:
Author can select multiple options. Please see Workshops for the details of workshops. “Workshop Regular” and “Workshop Poster” correspond to those of PDAA, WICS, CSA, ASON, and AFCA workshops. Papers rejected by the CANDAR main symposium will be reviewed for selected options. Note that it is not necessary to submit papers to workshops. Papers will be automatically redirected to workshop organizers in case of rejection. Also, selection of this option never affects the decision of accept/rejection for CANDAR main symposium. If papers submitted to CANDAR'14 are accepted as workshop papers, they must be revised to meet the page limitation.
Since NCSS workshop is not peer-reviewed and the camera-ready final version must be submitted, rejected papers are not redirected. Authors should resubmit the paper if they want to present it at NCSS workshop.
Long papers and Regular papers must be 8-10 pages and 5-7 pages using IEEE two-column format, respectively. Papers submitted as long papers may be accepted as regular papers.
