This webpage displays the paper formatting guideline for review, which is applicable to the CANDAR main symposium and workshops (excluding the NCSS workshop).
Please note that this page is not intended for the NCSS workshop. Papers submitted to the NCSS workshop must be in their final version and should include authors' names and affiliations.
Important: To ensure fairness in the review process and paper selection, papers will be subject to double-blind review. Therefore, submitted papers must not include authors' names, affiliations, grant information, or personal acknowledgments that could identify the authors. Additionally, any reference to the authors' prior works must be made in the third person. Papers that do not adhere to the submission guidelines, including the paper format, page length, and anonymity of the authors, will not be accepted.
The submitted paper should be formatted using the IEEE standard US-letter two-column (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html).
Submitted papers may be accepted for a shorter page-length category than the one originally intended. For instance, a CANDAR Long paper may be accepted as a CANDAR Regular paper. In such cases, the final version of the paper must adhere to the page limitation for the shorter category (i.e., the page limitation for CANDAR Regular paper).
Papers should NOT contain
Authors' names and affiliations Details of grant information and personal acknowledgements
On the other hand, authors' previous related works should not be omitted, and they must be referred to in the third-person perspective. For example, if you improve your own prior work, you should write:
While the authors of [?] did X, this paper additionally did Y.
You SHOULD NOT write:
While our previous paper of [?] did X, this paper additionally did Y.
Please see Sample PDF file for further details. Papers that do not meet these conditions for double-blind review may be rejected without further review.
If authors are unable to cite their paper for any reason (such as if it is currently under review), they may submit it as a non-cited paper. In such cases, the authors must also explain how the current work differs from their previous papers. This file may be shared with reviewers at the discretion of the organizers to ensure a fair evaluation. The file must be a PDF containing both the paper and the explanation.
